Product Description

Double Mechanical Seals are engineered for superior sealing performance by incorporating two sealing elements—configured either in a back-to-back arrangement or as a single unit with dual sealing faces, commonly referred to as a tandem setup. These seals are available in both single-spring and multi-spring designs, with options for unbalanced/unbalanced, unbalanced/balanced, or balanced/balanced configurations, offering broad adaptability for different operational needs.

Well-suited for handling complex or aggressive media where single seals may fall short, double mechanical seals ensure enhanced protection. A compatible barrier fluid circulates between the two seals, maintained at a pressure approximately one bar higher than the process fluid. The inner seal retains this barrier liquid within the system, while the outer seal prevents leakage to the atmosphere—delivering a reliable dual-layer defense. This configuration is especially effective in applications demanding extra sealing security and process integrity.
